Wooden - This play kitchen is wooden and durable.  Weighing in at ninety pounds, it is heavy enough that kids should not be able to tip this kitchen over.

Rounded edges - The Melissa and Doug classic deluxe kitchen has rounded corners, so you won’t have to worry about your little ones hurting themselves.

Major kitchen appliances - All of the major kitchen appliances have been included in this play kitchen set, including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove top and microwave.  The oven door is see through, so your little baker can see what they are preparing in the oven.  The knobs on the stove turn.

Tons of storage space -  It offers a ton of storage space.  The oven, refrigerator, and freezer doors open, giving you space for storing dishes and play foods.  There is also a cupboard for storage.  The top of it is flat, giving additional space to store your small appliances, like a toaster or coffee pot.

Detail - It offers an incredible amount of detail.  The backsplash looks like blue tile, with a bit if cherry tiles mixed throughout.  

Assembly required - This wood play kitchen required assembly.  It comes in many pieces and Melissa and Doug suggest that is could take four hours to assemble.  The instruction book is very detailed and easy to follow.  Some customers found that it took them half the time that Melissa and Doug suggested it would take.
